Winemaker: Evangelos Gerovassiliou
Gerovassiliou considered at the forefront of the Greek wine renaissance, is a pupil of the famed father of modern enology Emile Peynaud. In 1981, urged by his love, knowledge, and experience in vine-growing and fine wines, Vangelis Gerovassiliou began to renovate the family vineyard and created the Ktima Gerovassiliou. His vineyard of 72ha, on the slopes of Epanomi, is world-class. It is surrounded on three sides by the sea, which is four kilometers distant, while its west side faces Thermaic Gulf and Mount Olympus, and the beaches of Pieria.
